Our Story
Home CEO Academy was founded by a stay-at-home mom who initially began researching early learning programs for her little one in the five-minute increments available to mothers of newborns.
When she couldn't find everything she needed in one comprehensive program, she dedicated many late nights to research and write one for her daughter before she turned two.
The totschool program was a hit with our founder's little one! Not only did both mom and daughter learn a lot, but the bond between them grew, too.
Meanwhile, our founder had been looking for a way to give back. So on a whim, she posted the materials online as a means of raising funds for organizations tackling human trafficking, education and other worthy causes.
From its first month, which netted a mere $3.74, the program and its following has grown steadily - and so has the team! Home CEO Academy is now blessed with a talented team of teachers, homeschool parents and artists.
With this growth came two new brands. When a need for custom art surfaced, Home CEO Academy developed the Clipart That Cares brand. Additionally, the Academia Home CEO brand was birthed to provide a Spanish translation of the Home CEO Academy resources.
Profits from all our programs have been invested in the community in a variety of ways! Home CEO Academy also supports our 501c3 entity, Adsila Kids (formerly The Adsila Retreat), whose mission is to develop kids who can, kids who care and kids who contribute through online SEL-integrated curriculum programs.
Here are some of the ways we give back!
Providing Scholarships
We partner with Puente del Pueblo in West Chicago to sponsor an annual scholarship for promising college students.
Supporting Rural Schools
We support teachers in rural locations, both abroad and domestically, with supplies and donations.
Conducting Research
Through our 501c3, we were a finalist in the United Nations Visualize Change Challenge (see the data visualization here).
Encouraging Play
We were blessed to sponsor the build of a playground at the Nakibizi School in Uganda in partnership with Play Action International (formerly East African Playgrounds). This incredible organization has built playgrounds for over half a million children, including those displaced by war. We look forward to continuing our support of this noble organization in the future.
Providing Clean Water
Proceeds from our curriculum sponsored nine children and the amount has enabled access to water for life for 180 people.
Supporting COVID Relief
During the pandemic, we made monthly donations to the W.H.O. COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund from the proceeds of our Clipart That Cares store.
Supporting SEL
Home CEO Academy donated time to support CASEL's grant-writing efforts and produced this video to support advocacy for SEL nationwide. We also support CASEL monthly.
Adsila Kids
Home CEO Academy works in partnership with its 501c3 sister organization, Adsila Kids. Adsila Kids has provided live teacher-led weekly online homeschool co-ops for students participating in Home CEO Academy's elementary curriculum.
