Does This Sound Like You?
- You love Jesus deeply... but your quiet time is the first thing to go when life gets chaotic.
- You’ve tried devotionals, journals, and apps but nothing seems to stick beyond a week or two.
- You long for stillness with God, but the moment you sit down, someone needs a snack, a sibling squabble starts, or you can’t find your Bible.
- You feel guilty about your inconsistency and wonder if you’re just not “disciplined enough.”
- You feel like your Bible study ought to flow into your everyday real life.
- You crave a simple, gentle rhythm that fits your season, not another "perfect morning routine."
If you're nodding along, the Abiding Life Quiet Time Companion can help.Â
Because what if...
- Your quiet times with God are like slipping into a warm robe, even when life is noisy and unpredictable.
- Your quiet time rhythm clings like your favorite song, familiar, comforting, and easy to return to day by day.
- You no longer scramble to find your Bible or planner (and get distracted in the process) because everything you need is in one streamlined place.
- You exhale the pressure and inhale peace, knowing you’re walking with God, not trying to earn His approval.
- Instead of reacting to the day, you move through it like water, easily allowing Scripture to shape your priorities and mindset.
- You’re no longer chasing quiet time but instead you’re carried by it, living powerfully Spirit-led.

“Focus on Jesus…”
“Thank you for this! It is such a great word of encouragement to remind us to focus on Jesus' love for us, and that by continually meditating on the Word, we will live in His peace and flourish - even when facing circumstances that try to steal our hope, peace, and strength.”
~ Rachel I.
“Easy...”
“Thank you so much for this Bible Study journal. It is truly making my taking notes so easy. I will be giving it to my daughter at the end of the year. I will be doing a little extra colorful stuff each day... using washi tape, ribbon, stickers hoping my daughter will enjoy my journey with God.”
~Â Gloria G.
“Liked the format...”
“I really like the format of this Bible journal. I homeschool my granddaughter who will be turning 13 this summer. I want something that she will be able to apply now that she is older. ”

Make this Your Year to Abide.
This September, you'll start a 12-month quiet time journey, reading and learning what the Bible says about important topics that matter, while planning and praying daily.

September
Abiding
Planted and Thriving in Busy Seasons
We start our journey with the most foundational topic of all - staying close to Jesus.  We dive into passages that help us stay spiritually connected throughout the day, bearing spiritual fruit through small, steady rhythms and ongoing closeness with Christ.Â

October
Home
Exploring God's Heart for Home
In this month's theme, we focus on the heart of home, reading passages that remind us how God is present in the daily work of homemaking and within our families.

November
Provision
Experiencing God's Supply
In November, we look at God’s faithfulness and provision. Whether our need is wisdom, finances or strength in difficult seasons, we read passages about how God ensures His people are seen, sustained, and provided for, especially in times of need.

December
Joy
Enjoying the Fullness of God
As December brings us to a close in 2025, we'll focus on the joy of God this month as we celebrate the Christmas season. Joy is not circumstantial; it is rooted in God's presence, promises, and purpose.

January
Calling
Discovering Direction and Purpose
January is a time of refreshment and new beginnings, especially in our careers and callings! Goals are set, annual plans are made and we're excited for the year. That's why in January we'll read what the Bible says about calling. You are not just called to a purpose but you are sustained, seen, and equipped by God to live it out in your season.

February
Relationships
Partnering for the Glory of God
In the month of love, we focus on a selection of 30 passages reflecting on relationships among people, including marriage, friendships, church community and familial relationships to learn about God's heart for community.

March
Strength
Courage & Growth in Every Season
March is significant in ancient Israel as being the time of the early harvest. Â It's in this season where our strength and endurance are needed and tested. Â But thanks be to God, that we're made perfect in weakness and we're invited to rely on Him rather than ourselves. Â With God's strength on our side, we begin to see the fruit of our labors.Â

April
Peace
Steadiness in Anxious Days
In April, we celebrate Easter, so what better month to learn about what the Bible says about the peace of God. We'll identify and replace anxious thoughts with truth, practice surrender and stillness and experience God's presence as peace and refuge.

May
Waiting
Enduring with Patience &Â Trust
In May, we're eagerly waiting for school to end and summer to arrive, so this month we'll explore what the Bible says about waiting!  Whether you're waiting for an answer to prayer or for your next opportunity, in this topic we'll recognize growth in waiting, trust God’s timing, and deepen hope and patience through Scripture.

June
Health & Wellness
The Healer's Heart for Wholeness
As summer starts, and thoughts of taking some well-deserved rest, we're reminded of the need to slow down and tend to our health and wholeness. In this month's Bible reading selections we'll dig into how God cares for our whole being, body, mind, and spirit, and invites us to live a life of grace, balance, and centeredness.

July
Struggles
Wrestling with Doubt, Delay and Discouragement
Whether you're facing a key decision or dealing with difficult circumstances, we're reminded that God meets us in the wrestle and transforms it. In this month, we'll read about God’s presence in key decisions or challenges, and cultivate spiritual endurance through honest reflection and daily connection with Scripture.

August
Contentment
Cultivating Peace and Perspective
In ancient Israel, August was the time of the grape harvest. What better time to cull the depths of the Bible for what it has to say on the topic of contentment. In this month's passages we'll learn what God's word says about provision and peace, release comparison and striving, and practice spiritual satisfaction in Christ.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
~ JOHNÂ 15:5

Â
HAVE WE MET?
I'm MarayaÂ
Welcome!Â
I’ve been a follower of Jesus for over 30 years, ever since He met me as a 16-year-old girl crying out in her first-ever prayer. That moment led to an instant, miraculous healing and a lifelong walk of faith, years of small group bible studies, volunteering at church, and theological study through the Gotham Fellowship.
And yet… even with all that spiritual foundation, my quiet time with God was often painfully inconsistent in the busy seasons of motherhood, homeschooling, and managing my small business.
I loved the Lord. I loved His Word. But most days, I felt like I was chasing God in the margins, never quite getting there. What I needed wasn’t more willpower or a better devotional.
I needed a rhythm. And more importantly, I needed that rhythm to match my actual life.
When I discovered the ancient concept of a “Rule of Life,” something clicked. I realized that my most consistent habit was planning my day, so why not anchor my quiet time to that?Â
But practically? Gathering my Bible, journal, devotional, and planner felt like a hurdle, one that I'd already tripped over more than I'd like to admit.Â
Because let’s be real: when we've got babies and messes and to-dos, “just grab a few supplies” is not realistic.
I needed everything in one place and I needed it to work whether I was at the kitchen table or the school pickup line.Â
That’s why I created the Abiding Life Quiet Time Companion to help myself and others in the same situation make quiet time achievable, enjoyable...and fruitful.
With this integrated rhythm, I don’t feel guilt over missing out, I feel grounded. And since my quiet time and planning happens together, my days are planned in light of the people and priorities He brings to light. I no longer feel scattered, stressed, or spiritually dry. I feel rooted, empowered, led.
And it’s my joy to help others feel seen and supported in their quest for quiet time freedom in this busy and distracting world.
