Preschool Colors: Purple Theme

age 2-3 colors preschool purple Feb 15, 2021

Purple is the color of royalty! You and your little ones will enjoy many purple-themed activities this week.  Enjoy!

Here is a little Home CEO Academy hack: let your little ones choose their instrument of destru... I mean, to color with (crayons, markers, pencils, gel crayons, pens, etc.) so they can experiment with different mediums for creating their masterpieces.

Where have lapbooks been all my life?!?!? I mean seriously, this is only the inner pages and I'm in love!

Our purple shelf!

Our cutting practicing turned into a frustrated ripping session because his hands are too small for the scissors :/

Flower making was a lot more well received! Right as I was getting Porter all excited to make flowers, I realized we didn't have any tissue paper. Then I realized we didn't have any purple construction paper. Then I remembered the venn diagram playdoh mat we were using earlier and "mixed" red and blue paper. Porter loved it! Moral of the story ladies and gentlemen, the kids don't care if the activity does not go exactly how you wanted it to go; they just want to be with you.

Speaking of that venn diagram playdoh mat, we also made grapes, counted grapes, and squished lots and lots of grapes! Then we took the squished grapes and made Os!

Mind=blown. He should be smarter than me in a few years at the rate he is going.

We went back to our household object flash cards this week. I put some tape on the back and had Porter walk around and stick them to the correct item.

I loved this book as a child, and I think I love it even more now!
